| Agile Organizational Visibility |

I often discuss with the leaders of organizations and teams about how introducing agile methods are going to open up all sorts of previously hidden issues and deficiencies in their organization. There are a multitude of areas that surface including, but limited to, employee performance, dysfunctional organizational structures, infrastructure, team dynamics, etc. Often times, as companies are transitioning to an agile approach, the issues surfacing are directed at the new process as the root of the problem when in fact the problems were always there, hidden from normal view. It is like putting on infrared goggles for the first time and seeing another dimension. A recent testimonial to this came from a posting from Pete Deemer. Here is his account and what he did to redirect the discussion...
Pete, thank you for that posting and the idea of turning around the identified issues to their root causes. |
petebehrens (Pete Behrens) : @Armond_M sorry, no recording of my Leading Agility "Inside-Out" from #RallyOn2012. Will look for a future recording opportunity.
petebehrens (Pete Behrens) : (time lapse) I DID IT! I ran a 44:30 10k - on a flat sea-level course in Seattle in cool weather. Mile high #BolderBoulder next.
petebehrens (Pete Behrens) : Amazing - 5:20am in Seattle hotel, all 9 treadmills are busy. Good motivation to run outdoors today.
Armond_M (Armond Mehrabian) : @petebehrens Thanks for sharing the slides. Is there a webinar-like presentation of these slides somewhere? #RallyON2012
